SECURITY TIPS FOR BUYERS:
With ANY transaction, there is a chance that the seller is not being honest. These tips will help you protect yourself as a buyer.
Know the seller:
When a seller contacts you ask lots of questions. If you are going to buy an item, try to make personal contact with the seller by phone. Sellers claiming to not have a phone should be avoided, as they are most likely lying. If a person sounds untrustworthy or even lazy you should trust your instincts and politely tell them you will contact them later.
Use Paypal or pay cash in person:
Never buy something by money transfer, money orders, bank transfers, cashier's checks, or with an online escrow service. Paypal is a safe way to conduct transactions online, and it even provides insurance.
Buying a large part such as a transmission, motor, or whole vehicle is much safer if you can arrange to meet the seller and see the item in person.
If a seller cannot make the transaction safe and trustworthy enough, take your business elsewhere!
